Harold Perrineau

“I promise to be a role model to my children by treating my wife — and all women — with the respect they deserve. I believe that if we raise our kids to understand that girls and boys — and all people — are equal, we can help stop violence against women, and we can change the world. I know that millions of fathers agree with me. So men, let’s make sure it starts with us, now. Join me and Breakthrough’s One million men. One million promises and make your promise today.”

More about Harold:

Harold Perrineau is a stage and screen actor, musician and a songwriter. Harold’s diverse body of work includes the role of Michael Dawson in the television series “Lost,” Link in the Matrix film saga and video games, Mercutio in Baz Luhrmann’s “Romeo + Juliet”, the groundbreaking film version of William Shakespeare’s play, and the unforgettable narrator Augustus Hill in the television series “Oz”. In 2007, Harold originated the idea and co-wrote the song “Stay Strong” as a thank you card to the troops and their service to the country. Proceeds from the sale of the video and the CD are being donated to the Bob Woodruff Family Fund for Traumatic Brain injury. He also made an appearance in the star-studded music video “Yes We Can” produced by Will.I.Am for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.
